ABOUT ME

Husband. Cat-Dad. Ex-hustle bro. Reconnecting with my dream of headshot photography.

I was born on the “tropical island” of Newfoundland, Canada in 1986. You wouldn’t know because my accent is well-hidden as a result of moving to Alberta when I was a teenager. I was forced to learn how to “slow down” so folks here could keep up. 😂

I first met the gal who’d become my wife way back in 2010, and we’ve been enjoying the adventure called life since. Oh, and we’re cat parents - we love supporting animal rescues.

We moved to Kelowna and spent five years there before deciding to move back to Alberta so we could be close to our families as they entered retirement.

I’m an avid gamer. Starfield is my all-time favourite video game - that’s a hill I will die on, regardless of how much hate it got at launch.

I’ve seen way too many movies and still watch some on VHS on my CRT TV in our home’s basement, like a nerd. “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” is the greatest movie ever made.

I also have four guitars that I really should take out, dust off, and play again sometime soon.

I absolutely LOVE going to concerts. Some of my favourite live shows have been:

  • Creed (the Summer of 99 Cruise - their first concert in 12 years.)
I also got a fist-bump from lead singer Scott Stapp!

  • Seeing U2 from the front row in the Telstra Stadium in Sydney, Australia!

  • Our Lady Peace (I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen them live!)

  • John Fogerty (I got a guitar solo rocked in my face, front-row, from the legend himself!)

  • John Mayer (Flew to the State which had the ‘closest to the stage’ ticket available)

  • Metallica (Master... Master!)

  • Chevelle (The ONE time they came to Alberta - please come back!)

  • The Sheepdogs (Go Canada!!!)

  • Buckcherry (These guys put on a heck of a high-energy live show!)

  • Blink 182 (Back again!)

I’ve always been fascinated with images. Whether it was the result of regularly attending movie theatres as a child with my dad, making stop-motion videos with my friend Mark (using his epic mid-nineties Tyco Video Camera), or from flipping the pages of the magazines that littered the shelves of my parent’s house, I’ll never know.

However, I do know the following:

  • I graduated from SAIT Polytechnic (Diploma in Film and Video Production).

  • I directed four to eight person camera crews for weekly live events and concerts while living in Sydney Australia. (2006-2008).

  • I ran my own video production and digital marketing company (2013-2018).

  • I taught videographers from all around the world who found my YouTube channel and small Facebook community (2017-2021).

  • I finally decided to take the leap into a passion project that I’ve wanted to explore since first seeing a Peter Hurley video back in 2013 (Jan 2025 to present).

I’m always down to attend an Edmonton Oilers game!

Just don’t tell anyone here in Edmonton that my first live-hockey experience was with my grandpa, watching the Calgary Flames in the Saddledome!😲
